Review: Pepper Parrot's Problem with Patience by Carole P. Roman

Pepper Parrot's Problem with PatienceThis book is so well written and colorfully illustrated children will truly enjoy it. The best part is that it teaches young children; if they have a problem just ask for help. Since Pepper Parrot is not sure of her right or left, Hallie, the first mate teaches Pepper a trick.
Once Pepper knows what to do she is happy and now a member of the crew and will have a much more positive attitude.
I definitely recommend you getting this book for young children as it illustrates patience in a very easy way to understand.

We received this book to give an honest review.
Love pirates? Then this is a book that you will enjoy. This is our first pirate book by this author. And we love Captain No Beard already. We meet Pepper who is new to the crew and unfortunately get a bit upset when she doesn't know left to right. Not only does Pepper get taught this, we learned as well. Which K knows his left to right but sometimes you need a refresher. The illustrations were colorful, the only thing I would suggest is the monkey look more like a monkey. K said it looked like a man and in one picture he didn't think he looked very nice.
I love how Captain No Beard is a normal kid with an imagination. When we got to the end I realized oh this little boy is using his imagination to be a pirate, great way to get kiddos to use their imagination.
This is a perfect pirate read for the ages 3 or 4 on up. K is 7 and loves it.
