Left on their own for an afternoon, two bored and restless children find more excitement than they bargained for in a mysterious and mystical jungle-adventure board game. "Mr. Van Allsburg's illustrations have a beautiful simplicity of de-sign, balance, texture, and a subtle intelligence beyond the call of illustration." -- New York Times Book Review
I remember reading this book back in the day so I was so excited to see it in the public library that I wanted to read it to K and A. Now for K, he was okay with the book I think because it seems more childish, but A was good with it. The book is wonderfully illustrated and the story was on point. This book brings back so many memories for me. We follow two children who will go on quite an adventure one they will never want to probably go on again if they can help it. It is a great imaginative book one that will bring things to life.
