Navjyot rescues a near-to-death parrot and wins his trust. The parrot, Rangeela, has exceptional skills. He can speak and understand human speech. Instead of flying free, he chooses to live with Navjyot provided he promises to keep his talking skills a secret. Very soon they become the best of friends and have loads of fun, adventures, and sometimes, spats.
Rangeela Tales is a series of stories about the duo, and also about Navjyot’s nosy cousin, Nimi, and her black cat, Robber, who is on a mission to end Rangeela’s existence.

We received this book to give an honest review.
K and I both enjoyed this tale of Rangeela and Navjyot as they both are constantly on adventure after adventure in each chapter. I have to say for the first chapter in this book it kind of bothered me a bit being as the kids were being kidnapped yes they get saved because we all know Rangeela and Navjyot solve the crimes that happen around them it seems.
I can tell that K really enjoys reading about the Rangeela as every night when we were getting ready for bed he would ask me "are we reading about the parrot Rangeela?"
Rangeela is a talking bird who doesn't want anyone to know he talks because he is scared that those that hurt him before will find him. He knows that some humans are not good.  In one of the stories Navjyot learns a lesson on keeping secrets and learns that if he can not keep his word he could lose the friend he has.
I think that children ages 9 on up will enjoy this book and have fun with both Rangeela and Navjyot as they go on adventures within their home.
I think the author did a great job of having different scenarios and adventures in each chapter.
