Ralph the Rabbit loves to play baseball, read, and eat ice cream. However, there is one thing he doesn’t love and that’s carrots. In fact, he HATES them! How is it possible for a rabbit to hate carrots?!
One day, Ralph is talking to his friend Tina the Turtle when they suddenly come across the topic of carrots. As it turns out, Ralph has never eaten carrots before! Knowing this, Father Rabbit and Mother Rabbit hatch elaborate plans in an attempt to get him to try eating carrots. Plans involve a “Superhero pie” and “toy swords”, but the real purpose of these plans fails to escape the notice of the Ralph’s keen eyes. Eventually, Father and Mother Rabbit give up on their scheming. But then, something unexpected happens…
So I was looking for some good Easter books to read to the children for Easter Sunday. Now it was hard to pick one that either one of them would enjoy. I picked this one up for A as I figured she would really enjoy it as it has a rabbit on the cover.
Nope I was totally wrong she looked at it and said she wanted something else so I went with K on this book and he liked it. Ralph is a rabbit but he doesn't like carrots at all. His mother and father come up with creative ways to get him to at least try them but he always seems to know when it is carrots that are being served. Until one day his mom does something a whole lot different and once he tries it, he realizes that carrots are not that bad.
The pictures are done wonderfully and go great with the story.
Questions and answers from K.
1. Did you enjoy the story?
"Yes I did. How does a rabbit not like carrots?"
2. Did you have a favorite part?
"No I liked it all."
3. Would you recommend this book to your friends?
"Yes so they can see how silly this rabbit is not to like carrots."
Also this book is free on Amazon right now, I am not sure if this is a perm-free book or it is just free for a limited time so make sure you get it while you can.
