Maisy the firefly has a job to do each summer. One warm summer's day at dusk she finds a new girl to play with. Without warning she is captured by the girl and put in a jar to be her friend forever. What will Maisy do and how will she ever escape?
The story ends with a great lesson about friendship and respect that all parents will resonate with.
- Beautiful, color illustrations that will captivate your young child.
- Rhyming lines help engage your child and sustain interest
A and I enjoyed this story I think more so because we haven't seen fireflies in forever. So for me it was neat to be able to explain what Maisy was to A.
Great lesson within the book that if you capture a bug or animal you should let them go.
There is rhyming in the story so that helped it flow nicely. A and I had fun with the rhyming as that is what she is learning in school.
The pictures were very cute!
As a girl Lily often turned to her imagination for fun escaping into a magical world of excitement and adventure.
These days she is a quirky mother of three that is often seen walking around the house singing rhymes to herself.
She loves her 3 children tremendously and her stories were inspired by them.
