Shimmer the glowworm has a low glow and goes on an inspirational journey to find it. She discovers along the way that helping others find their glow is what makes her glow show and the ME TREE she lives in reflected that all along.

We received this book to give an honest review.
This book is about a glowworm who doesn't have very good self esteem and that is why I wanted to read this book. We deal with K not having a lot of self esteem and I figured this book would maybe help him out a bit.
Shimmer doesn't glow as brightly as every other glow worm so she goes on a journey to find her glow, but what she ends up finding is that it is within her all along. She helps and meets different characters all in different situations, and they help her as well.
K said he liked the book and would recommend it for everyone to read. He really liked the pictures but we both agreed that the words on some of the pages were hard to read against the background. That is why this book is given a 4 star rating.
The pictures were wonderful, bright and colorful they really went with the story being told.
I really enjoyed the ME TREE and how at the end we get different words that described Shimmer and what she encountered on her journey.
